Card Crafters meet every Friday 12:00 - 3:00 pm in the Activity Room to make greeting cards for both ourselves and for charity. 12:00-1:00 is free time & 1:00-3:00 is business & project. No art experience necessary. This Club is open to all levels of card crafters, from beginners to advanced card makers.
The first Friday of the month is our READY day, where a technique is demonstrated & practiced. The second Friday is our SET day where we prepare 2 cards using our technique. Members prepare the first card for charity and if time allows, a second for themselves. The third Friday is our GO day with all of the supplies needed to make a card using the technique. Some supplies will be available. The fourth Friday is our FREESTYLE FRIDAY when we work on our own projects or make cards to donate to area agencies &/or nursing homes. On months where there is a fifth Friday, we ask everyone to bring a sack lunch, socialize & have fun getting to know one another!
Some basic card crafting tools such as a die cutter & embosser along with various die cuts and embossing folders, ink, stamps, etc. will be provided for use during our gathering time. For your first session, please bring your own scissors (and any special supplies you want to work with). See the Basic Supply Lists below (one for craft tools and one for paper) should you decide to join us on a permanent basis!
The first two (2) sessions are free and after that, a $12 annual Club fee is collected. Checks can be made payable to Sweetgrass Card Crafters.
