Aquacise Class
Come and have fun in the pool. All fitness levels are welcome. You don’t need to know how to swim. Take an hour to yourself working on stretching, strengthening, balance, and building heart and lung strength and endurance. We work hard and laugh a lot. You may even sing along while working out. Morning and afternoon classes are available.
Stable and Strong
Reclaim your Balance by adding strength to your muscles and bones. Using a variety of exercises along with movement from sitting to standing, residents learn how to work with their bodies in a way that creates knowledge and confidence in their ability to stay upright while standing and moving. All ability levels are welcome and modifications are given throughout the exercise. For this class, residents will be standing and sitting at various times. There will be No floorwork in this class.

- Friday: Stable & Strong: Strength & Balance (Sit & Stand)
Chair Fit
Allow your muscles to relax with stretches that work the entire body. Movement of the joint's releases that "stuck feeling", as well as assists with easier movement. Participants, recovering from surgery, participating in physical therapy, or who haven't exercised in a while will benefit from this class. Residents will remain seated throughout the entire class. Individuals with walkers, wheelchairs and canes are welcome.

Join us for Core Strength with Debbie! This invigorating class is dedicated to enhancing your core strength and fortifying muscles to support your overall health and well-being. Don't miss out on this opportunity to sculpt your body and boost your vitality.
Fitness Center 101
We are thrilled to welcome dedicated fitness expert, Dayna Lockwood, to our Fitness Center. Dayna, a licensed fitness instructor and personal trainer, will be on hand the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month to give Fitness Center orientations to Sweetgrass residents. Learn more about our different machines, what they are for, and how they are used. As part of this lesson, Dayna will also monitor the residents as they use the equipment, to help ensure they are using it properly and safely. Free to residents! RSVP required. Please note, this is not a personal training session, but an orientation of the Fitness Center.
Lunch Crunch (Flexibility)
30 minutes of mobility exercises for our shoulders, spine, neck, and hips. Static stretching for the remaining 30 minutes holding each stretch a minimum of 60 seconds to 90 seconds per stretch. We also work on deep breathing throughout the entire class to promote relaxation and greater flexibility of the muscles. Residents will be on the floor for the last 30 to 40 minutes of the class. Bring a towel or pillow if lying on your back makes you dizzy. Assistance can be provided if anybody needs help up off the floor!
Lunch Crunch (Strength)
A full body strength class that works all of the large muscle groups. Legs, back, chest, biceps, triceps, shoulders, and we also work 10 minutes of core followed by 10 minutes of stretching. Cardio intervals are also added in during the class to keep heart rates up! Residents will be on the floor for the last 20 minutes of the class.
Move To Improve (Stretch & Balance)
Enjoy the combination of stretch and strength training using the participants body weight, as well as hand weights. An entire body workout including working the CORE, both abs and back, is accomplished in this class. The overall strengthening will assist in creating better balance, and allowing for ease with daily activities. All ability levels are welcome and modifications are given throughout the exercise. Participants will be moving from sitting and lying on the floor to standing and back to sitting on the floor throughout the class.
