How will I receive my voting documents/ballot?
All owners will receive their ballot in the mail. Plus, if you have an email address on your HOA account, you will also receive your ballot electronically via email.
Are we using the same voting service that we use for Board elections? Yes. We will use the same company that was used for the Board elections: The Inspectors of Election (TIE)
When can I vote? The voting period is scheduled to open on Monday, January 12 and close on Tuesday, March 31. We do not anticipate changing these dates. However, if there is an unexpected need to change this schedule, it will be announced in an eblast to the Community.
What is the website for voting?Visit www.tieivote.com to cast your vote. You will need the unique username and password included in the ballot notice mailed to you by The Inspectors of Election.
I am having trouble casting my ballot. Can the Lakehouse staff help me? To keep the election process completely confidential and independent, our on-site team is not able to assist with ballots. For assistance or questions on the balloting or voting process, please contact The Inspectors of Election at
Sweetgrass@tieivote.com or 888-211-5332. You may also stop by the Tech Help Desk group meeting for technical assistance from a volunteer. Please note, volunteers will not be able to cast your vote for you, but will offer assistance with technical issues related to accessing the voting website or with logging in. The group generally meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 4p in the Learning Center. Please bring your ballot with you, including your unique voter login information.
During the 1st week of voting, you will also find tech support volunteers in the Lakehouse Library at these times:

I lost my ballot or I did not receive my ballot. What should I do?If you have more than one email address, please check all of your email addresses, including your spouses/parnters. How many votes do I get?Each household receives 1 vote. Owners who own more than one property in the community will receive a separate ballot for each property they own. Each ballot is tied to a specific property through unique login credentials and may be submitted only once for that property.
Can I turn in my ballot at the Lakehouse front desk? To keep the election process completely confidential and independent, our on-site team is not able to collect any ballots at the Lakehouse. Will my wife/husband and I both receive a ballot? You may receive multiple ballots in the mail or via email. However, each household receives only 1 vote and should vote only 1 time. If your household submits more than one ballot, only the first vote recorded will be the one counted.
How many votes does the community need for the vote to pass? The approval requirement is 67%. This means we need 1032 "yes" votes for the amendment to pass.
I did not have my email on file when the ballots were sent. Can I still vote electronically?
Yes! You will need to contact the Inspectors of Election to add your email address, and they will email you an electronic ballot. Reach out to TIE at

Are persons who rent or lease a home eligible to vote?
No. Only persons who own a home in the DW Sweetgrass HOA are eligible to vote. Persons who are renting or leasing their home are not eligible.
Will we be able to vote in person at a meeting?
No. There will be no in-person voting at any meeting. This vote will be conducted entirely by absentee ballot. Ballots may only be submitted by email or by mail.
Can we vote electronically at the Lakehouse?
To keep the election process completely confidential and independent, our on-site team is not able to assist with ballots. However, there is a free computer available in the library/coffee bar that you can use for electronic voting.
